Summer Movement Institute (SMI) is a chance for students 10 & up to become fully exposed to Garth Fagan Dance philosophy and the many intricacies of Fagan Technique. This intensive program will provide a variety of classes in Technique, Composition, Repertory and Art Appreciation, taught by Garth Fagan Dance company members. Music Appreciation will be taught by a guest instructor, as will a class in Anatomy for Dancers. SMI strives to enhance the students' appreciation and understanding of dance through its relationship with art, theater and music.
