Performance Spotlight
Attendees will get a rare glimpse and insight into Fagan and Pennewell’s creative process experiencing “The North Star” Fagan’s tribute to Frederick Douglass: Father, husband, abolitionist, suffragist, author, journalist, publisher, statesman, social reformer – The greatest American of the 19th century and “Distant Kin” an impressionist work by Garth Fagan Dance Rehearsal Director Norwood “PJ” Pennewell set to the electric music of Stavroz, Matthew Dekay and Lee Burridge.
Exciting excerpts of our current slate of revivals include: “Time After Before Place" Garth Fagan’s creation story with music by the Art Ensemble of Chicago, “…ING” an exploration of relationships with music by The Emerson String Quartet with David Shifrin.

Garth Fagan Dance Student Ensemble
Matinee events will include a performance by the Garth Fagan Dance Student Ensemble, a diverse youth group ages 5-18 years old, who train in the Fagan Technique and rehearse & perform original choreography!
